 Beverage Pricing and Loyalty Points

Due to increases in our alcohol costs effective this Month, and the Clubs desire not to raise drink prices for our members.

The Club has decided to discontinue the 3% loyalty bonus on April 1st.

Members will have a generous grace period of 3 months (30 June) to redeem their existing points.

Please note: Members will still receive member pricing on alcohol purchases by scanning their membership card.

Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

Fishing Report

Offshore

The Kubota competition was a great event for the town and I’m sure everyone has already seen or heard the results as it has been well publicized. Congratulations to all the winning teams with some great fish caught. The weather since has been great with a nice Broadbill being weighed during the week.

Inshore

Not many reports coming in this week, other than the usual reports of solid Snapper fishing around the Mercs, and one report of a good mix of Trevally and Snapper caught in the river mouth on an out-going tide. Nice to have a close spot with fuel the price it is.

Good Fishing…

Thanks to the team of weighmasters who gave up their time to weigh fish for the Kubota Billfish Classic. For their services the club was given $15,000.00 from the tournament director.

Friday 20th March, pop down to the club for a meet and greet with the drivers and organisers of the Offshore Power Boats to talk all things boat racing

The organisers are looking for patrol/marker boats and marshalls on the water, so if you want to see the action up close and are you able to assist please contact Jason Way either by email Jason@2way.co.nz or mobile 021711072

There is also the chance for boaties to enter a Nominated Speed Racing event on the day, where anyone can enter. You don’t need a race boat, just a capable boat and the confidence to put it on the line in a class where skill beats outright horsepower.

Check out their Facebook page New Zealand Offshore Powerboat Racing to hear about all the action.
