Welcome     Sanil Kumar – Kitchen Manager/Chef

We are delighted to welcome Sanil Kumar to our club as our new Kitchen Manager/Chef.

Sanil comes from the Matarangi Dunes Golf Club Restaurant and joins us with a strong background in culinary leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service. We are confident that his skills, creativity, and commitment will further enhance the dining experience at our club.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Sanil as he settles into his new role. We look forward to the positive contributions he will bring to our kitchen and to your overall experience at the club.

Job opportunity

We are seeking a Club Manager. Someone who genuinely loves fishing and understands the culture of a fishing club. This is not just a hospitality role — it is about supporting the fishing program, engaging with members, and helping maintain the club’s reputation as one of the leading game fishing clubs in the country.

Working closely with the Committee, the Club Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the club while helping drive participation in fishing activities, tournaments, and club events.

Good Friday 3rd April – 18th April, 2026

Starts next Friday!  Have you got your entry in?  Only $40 per angler entry fee – this includes a starter pack worth over $40 and don’t forget that you will be in the draw for the Hunting & Fishing Gate Prize worth $10,000 thanks to the Team at Hunting & Fishing Whitianga

You must be 17 and under as at 18th April 2026 to be eligible for this tournament, we have age category prizes and have introduced this year a land base category as well.
