There are still a few 2026-27 Sponsors Grid available for new sponsors.  Cost is $435 plus GST and we have the grid sponsors draw planned for Saturday 13th June at 6.00pm. The Stunned Mullet Top Ten ‘Snapper’ this weekend:

This is the Snapper tournament weekend!!  Kicks off this Saturday & Sun. A big thanks to “The Stunned Mullet” and “Okuma” for their continued support of this competition, and all MBGFC members get a discount in store so go and see Andrew for a deal.

Cash in/Cash out + $1000 worth of The Stunned Mullet Vouchers 1 – 10 placings

$25 per angler and Optional S/S $25 (heaviest)

Mid Winter Christmas Night  –  Saturday 25^th July 2026    Save the Date!

The Mid Winter Christmas Party preparations are coming together nicely.

Join us for a great night of:  Christmas Trivia Quiz with a prize, delicious 2- Course Dinner, a free drink and live music from Phil Hart & Hanna Sharps to dance the night away.

There will also be a $500 Lucky Door Prize thanks to Pete and Dale from Guthrie Bowron

We will have the tickets for this event available to purchase shortly.

 

Committee Nominations are only 3 months away.

The new committee will consist of 6 members (currently there are 9 members)

4 committee

2 President and Vice President

1 Patron with no voting rights

+ Club Captain (with voting rights) may be invited by the committee

+ maximum of 2 members that the committee can co-opt as per constitution.

Committee members are voted in for a term of 2 years.

The new constitution was designed to have voting for ½ the committee every year. Ie potentially three people change every year.

We need committee members with skills over a wide range of areas from Fishing to accounting to commercial
