Fishing Report
We had a few reports this week from fishers who took advantage of some favourable conditions on the water. Fishing for snapper proved successful for most people. The general consensus was that while there seemed to be plenty of smaller fish around (up to about 40cm), there wasn’t a lot of the larger variety.
One group did do well in deeper water south of Red Merc until conditions brought them close to shelter.Other popular spots were around the Black Rock & Korapuki.
Earlier in the week, a couple of trips out between Stanley & Double Islands also proved fruitful.
Further out the crew on board One More Kiwi had a great experience north of our grid, landing 2 southern bluefin tuna and tagging another 2.
