Hunting & Fishing 2025 Junior Competition Information
Entries are now open for the 2025 Hunting and Fishing Junior Tournament. To join the fun, simply drop by our office to pick up an entry form, or get in touch with us!
office@mbgfc.co.nz or 07 866 4121.This competition will take place over two weeks during the school holidays, from Saturday 12th April to Saturday 26th April, and will coincide with the NZ Sport Fishing Council Youth Nationals 2025.

$40 Entry Fee! Entry fee includes entry for NZSFC Junior Nationals! Awesome spot prizes! • Billfish – heaviest and tagged prizes
• Tuna – 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Kingfish – 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Snapper – 1st, 2nd & 3rd
• Kahawai – 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Under 11yrs prizes - Heaviest - Skipjack, Snapper, Kahawai & Trevally
1 of each species per angler per day but the heaviest per species will count for prizes.
You don’t have to be at prizegiving to be eligible for the gate prize or fish prizes however, must be at prizegiving to win spot prizes.
