Pin Fish

Congratulations to Tania Christensen a pin for her 15.82kg kingfish caught on 15kg while fishing in the ladies comp. Not long later Emma Douglas caught a 20.24kg also on 15kg line caught in sponsors grid Gull Whitianga and Bodman Fencing respectively. Nice work Ladies.

Pin fish is the first for the season by species – these pin fish are for heavy tackle.

Light tackle still up for grabs!

 Junior Fisho’s

Congratulations to Koby Maxwell fishing with dad on Mad Max for his pending NZ Record for his 58.62kg on 60kg line Yellowfin Tuna, caught up at North Cape. This fish supersedes his own club record on 60kg line.

Lachie Pedersen is on roll – fishing on Maximus Lachie has another junior club record for his bronze whaler shark weighing in at 126.6kgs on 15kg line.  This also gets him a NZ Sportfishing Council 5:1 certificate.

5:1 certificate is when the fish weighs more than 5x the line weight.  Well done young man what a great effort.
