 Fishing

No report on fishing this week, weather hasn’t been that great!

 Bathurst

We’ll be showing the Big Race on our big screen this Sunday.  Coverage starts at 12.05pm and the race begins at 1.15pm.  Come down and support your favourite driver/team with a few mates and enjoy a few drinks at the same time.

This one day tournament is scheduled for Saturday 22nd  (Labour weekend).  It’s a cash in – cash out tournament with all entry money returned as prizes for the heaviest 3 snapper.  In addition, we are competing with the other Zone 3 fishing clubs for bragging rights and the Kilwell Sports Interclub Trophy (which we currently hold).  The other clubs are Matarangi Boat & Fishing Club, Tairua-Pauanui Sports Fishing Club and Whangamata Oceans Sports Club.

Entry fee is $20 per angler with optional $25 boat sweepstake.  Entry forms are at the bar or office and on our website www.gamebase.co.nz  or click here to take you straight to the entry form.

Members Draw

Each week our members draw if not struck jackpots by $100 until it reaches $1800 at which time it must be won by somebody in the clubrooms.  On the current cycle, if it is not struck, the $1800 ‘must go’ draw is Thursday October 27th.  We have a major tournament on that week so this is not an option.  To fix this, if the draw has not been won by Thursday 20th October, it will jackpot by $200 that week and must be won that night.  This is the Thursday before labour weekend.  If the members draw is won this week or next week, we will carry on as normal.
