A couple of pinfish weighed in on Wednesday, congratulations to Wayne Macfarlane and crew on Mile Zero for a 42.58kg Yellowfin Tuna and Jarrad Hill and Mark Phillips on Relief for a 10.62kg Shortbill Spearfish, also Jarrad’s fish is the first billfish of the season.

Girls the Bay Ladies Tournament Announcement

Its official –   the tournament convenors are thrilled to announce the Last Girl Standing Prize thanks to Landmark Homes Coromandel.      “The Landmark Homes Ultimate $10k Appliance Upgrade”

Early bird closes 14th December for the chance to be in win $1000 cash and is only $100 per angler. Entries after this will be $120 per angler.

Also the first 250 anglers will received a Stoney Creek Tshirt! And the first 100 boats will get a starter bag.

Suzuki Top Ten Tuna Tournament

The Tuna are on their way !!

This is an 8 day tournament which starts on the 31st December 2022 until the 7th January 2023. Cash prize pool of $10,000 and 5 lucky anglers will be drawn for one of 5 Suzuki DF2.5 outboard motors.

Caulerpa seaweed – Divers’ online workshop

Biosecurity NZ is offering an online workshop this coming Wednesday 14th December at 5.30pm for divers to help you identify pest Caulerpa seaweeds, and help prevent its spread.

Caulerpa is in the waters off Aotea Great Barrier Island and Ahuahu Great Mercury Island. The biggest risk of spread is via fishing and diving gear. In this workshop you’ll learn about Caulerpa, how to identify it and how to prevent its spread.

Kitchen  – Roast Night this Wednesday 14th December
