Fishing Report
Offshore
I have had good reports that the Puka/Bass/Bluenose fishing is going well. All the deep species are in great condition with good roe in them. Get out there while the weather is fine and have a crack. The sometimes prolific Gem Fish are also tasty when smoked.
Inshore
No one has shared any stories this week, but with fine weather forecast hopefully there will be some nice fish caught over the weekend.
Good Fishing…
Our Grid Sponsors Draw takes place this Saturday at 6.00pm. Come along and see how the grid is drawn, catch up with friends, and enjoy a great evening at the club.
Following the draw, we’ll be screening the Warriors game live on the big screen, so stay on for all the action.
Why not make a night of it and enjoy a meal and a beverage while you watch the game?
We look forward to seeing you there!

The seminar will include:

Kaz will also have a range of specialist rods, jigs, and equipment on display. The evening is being held in conjunction with The Stunned Mullet, with fishing gear available for purchase on the night.
The seminar will run from 7.00pm to approximately 9.00pm, including time after the presentation for members to chat with Kaz and discuss your own Bluefin fishing experiences.

Heaviest Hapuku Trophy Returns!
The Club, in conjunction with Longshore Marine, is pleased to bring back the Heaviest Hapuku Trophy for the season.
While Hapuku is not a recognised fish for Club points, we know many members enjoy targeting these prized deep-water fish. This trophy is a great excuse to get out there, put in some time on the pins, and see if you can land a winning fish.
So dust off the deep-drop gear, gather your crew, and head offshore — the next trophy-winning Hapuku could be yours!
Volunteers Wanted – Property Maintenance Team
We are looking for a couple of members who may be willing to assist Scott Farrell our Property Manager with general maintenance and upkeep around the Club.
The commitment would be just a few hours once a fortnight, helping with a variety of tasks to keep our facilities looking their best and operating smoothly.
No special skills are required—just a willingness to lend a hand and contribute to the ongoing upkeep of our Club. It’s a great way to meet other members, stay involved, and help ensure our Club continues to be a place we can all be proud of.
If you are interested or would like to know more, please speak to Scott Farrell on 027 2316332 or contact the Club Office.
A Special Thank You to Chris Baily
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Chris Bayly, who is heading off to Tonga with Melissa.
During his time as Weighmaster, Chris has always been willing to lend a hand and contribute wherever needed. His dedication, reliability, and support have been greatly appreciated by the Club and its members.
We thank Chris for all he has done and wish both him and Melissa all the very best for their time in Tonga. We look forward to hearing about their adventures and hope to see them back at the Club again in the future.
