FISHING

There’s been a fair bit of success in  recent weeks on the snapper front with plenty of fish being caught around popular spots amongst the Mercury islands.  There are also plenty still up the river and around the river mouth.  The river mouth is also holding trevally and closer to the wharf the odd john dory has been caught.  I haven’t heard from anyone towing plastic further out, I guess everyone has given up on marlin for this season.  We did have 3 broadbill swordfish caught last weekend and we’re expecting a few more over the next few months.

KITCHEN

The roast next week will be beef – $15 per meal.  After another set-back in April due to covid, we’re back to full strength with our staffing levels so we expect to have our full menu available.  If you are coming in for a meal in a large group, a quick phone call before arriving will help us prepare and get meals to you in a timely fashion (except Wednesdays, Thursdays).

THANK YOU

To Craig Scarrott for taking care of our recycling and rubbish removal for the couple of months or so that Scott and Debbie were away.

COURTESY VAN

We encourage you to use our courtesy van but however you get around, don’t drink and drive.  You can be picked up on Club Night (Thursdays) from about 4.30pm (depending on how busy it is) and dropped home when you’re ready to go, so no need to leave your car here at all.  If you have got your car here, you can still use the van to get home and just come and pick your car up at a later date.
