Waikato Regional Coastal Plan Review

Fishing

Nothing to report this week due to the poor weather, hopefully a better forecast for the next few days will give people the opportunity to get out and we will have something to report next week.

Waikato Regional Coastal Plan

We’ll be sending more information out about this in the middle of next week.  There are one or two people on the regional council wanting to turn large areas (and good ones at that) into ‘no take’ areas and we don’t believe that is the correct option or method to manage our fisheries.  For those that are interested in being able to go fishing out from here in the future, please feel free to look up the Waikato Regional Council site in the meantime to familiarise yourselves with the proposals.  As mentioned, we will be sending out more info next week but it will be a tight timetable.  Make no mistake, continued apathy will have serious consequences on our ability to fish in the future.

Nominations for Officers and Committee

These nominations are now open, nomination forms are available at the bar or the office.
