Fishing Report

Offshore
We have had our first Two Bluefin tuna weighed in the last week, both caught down in Waihau Bay. Congratulations to Jessie Hayward for his fish of 86.08kg which he trailered back up to the club for weighing. Also congrats to Jackson Green for his Bluefin weighing in at 87.2kg which he weighed at Whakatane. A great effort and good to see some BIG early fish.

Inshore
Not too many reports this week from inshore, probably due to the average weather, but I have heard of the odd Kingfish being caught and good bait schools around the outer islands. No doubt the Snapper will still be around if you put in the effort.

Good Fishing…

Pending Junior Record
Congratulations to Jackson Green for a pending Junior and Junior All Tackle Record, Southern Bluefin Tuna 87.2kgs on 60kg line. This fish super cedes the incumbent’s fish which was caught in 2021 Well done!
