Fishing

Sorry but (mostly) due to the poor weather conditions, I haven’t heard any fishing reports.  We have a few good days forecast for next week so fingers crossed we’re able to get out for a look.  The recent catches of yellowfin tuna and shortbill spearfish were in sponsors grid area Kubota NZ so you’d be silly not to run over that square at some stage if you get out there.

Members Draw

This will jackpot to $1300 next weekend will be redrawn until it is won by somebody who is present – i.e. must go next week.

Lunches

The club will be open for lunches at 12.00pm each day from next Thursday 22nd December (except Christmas day when we are shut).  It’s a great place to enjoy a drink with your lunch so pop in and support the club.  We will be open from 12.00 til late from December 22nd to January 15th.

Peninsula Rent A Car

A big thanks to Walter and Tania Christiansen from Peninsula Rent a Car for loaning us one of their vans to use for our courtesy van while our own vehicle is being repaired.

Suzuki top 10 Tuna Tournament

Keep in mind that this 8 day tournament is due to kick off on Saturday December 31st.  There have been yellowfin and big eye tuna caught in the last week or so, so there are definitely fish out there.  Entry forms on the bar or available on our website.

Guests and Visitors

Please remember to sign in your guests when you bring them in.  Over the next month or so, the committee will be randomly conducting door checks so please make sure your membership is up to date.  If you have friends that wish to come into the club on a regular/semi regular basis, please encourage them to complete a membership application form.  Copies available at the bar.
