Fishing Report
Some great weather for the first week of the school holidays has seen plenty of boats on the water. There’s also been plenty of action on the fishing front, with lots of people bringing home a feed of fish.
Snapper have been caught both east and west of Stanley Island with more successful trips fishing between Great Mercury and Green Islands. At bit closer in, the back of Flat Island is also well worth a shot.
Further out, hapuku and bass were on the menu for several boats who took advantage of the superb conditions to try their lucky spots. No reports of any massive fish, but everybody managed a feed and at least one boat caught their limit.
